EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Jets fell one point and a few missed opportunities short of opening the season with a victory. With a quick turnaround and a trip to AFC East-rival Buffalo up next, theyre staring at a potential 0-2 start for the first time since 2007. And, theyve got plenty to clean up in a hurry. Its tough, and its not what we wanted, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said of the Jets 23-22 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. We cant feel sorry for ourselves or mope for too long because weve got one coming up in a few days.On Thursday night, the Jets will take on former coach Rex Ryan and his Bills, who are staring at a similar 0-2 start after a 13-7 loss at Baltimore.Buffalo beat New York twice last season, including in the season finale -- which kept the Jets out of the playoffs.Since the NFLs expanded playoff format was put in place in 1990, only 26 teams have started with at least two losses and made the postseason. Fitzpatrick doesnt necessarily think that adds any pressure on the Jets heading into their game against the Bills.I dont really buy into that, he said. I dont want to start 0-2, though.Neither do the Bills. And the loser of that matchup will also be 0-2 in the conference.I dont know what pressure is, Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall said. Its just football. You just have to win them when you have the chance to play. Here are some other things to know about the Bengals and Jets after their Week 1 game:ANDY STILL STANDINGThe Bengals beat the Jets despite Andy Dalton being sacked a career-high seven times. If the Cincinnati quarterback didnt get rid of the ball quickly, he was routinely hit hard and/or sacked. Coach Marvin Lewis knows that the leaky line is one area that needs to improve starting next week against Pittsburgh.Weve got to do better, Lewis said. We cant give up seven sacks. Our quarterback will not make it through the season if we give up seven sacks a week.Dalton still managed to go 23 of 30 for 366 yards with a touchdown and one interception.GREENS DAYA.J. Green caught 12 passes for 180 yards, mostly against Darrelle Revis to help the Bengals beat the Jets for the first time in 10 meetings in New Jersey. The Jets went into the game saying they would mix up the coverage on Green, and not leave only Revis on him. According to NFL Research, Dalton had a perfect 158.3 passer rating when targeting Green with Revis covering: 10-for-10, 152 yards, 1 TD.The whole week everybody was saying A.J. vs. Darrelle, Green said. Revis is a first-ballot Hall of Famer. Its my honor going against him. I was just trying to make plays anytime the ball came my way.Meanwhile, the mystique around Revis Island might be fading. It was a rough start for Revis, who will have to take on Buffalos Sammy Watkins next.He had a great game, Revis said of Green. I can take a punch on the chin.RED ZONE IS DEAD ZONEThe Jets were the third-best team in the red zone scoring last season, and got off to a good start this year with Quincy Enunwa catching a 3-yard touchdown pass on New Yorks opening drive. They also had a 15-yard TD to Decker, but Nick Folk missed a 22-yard field goal on one trip and the Jets settled for field goals on two fourth-quarter ventures into the Bengals 20.Those missed opportunities made the difference in the game for the Jets.We were just sloppy down there, Marshall said of the Jets red-zone struggles. Poor execution. Its something we pride ourselves on. Didnt get it done. ... That was the poorest execution Ive ever seen on our side in the red zone since Ive been here.FOLKS FOLLIESFolk has been as automatic as they come when it comes to extra points, so his miss on Sunday was a bit stunning. After all, it ended a streak of 312 straight made PATs.He had also set the NFL record for most extra points without a miss with 322 overall, including the playoffs.Couple that, though, with his blocked 22-yard field goal attempt earlier in the opening quarter, and there might be some slight concern over the reliable veteran, who held off Duke rookie Ross Martin in training camp. You just have to move on to the next kick, Folk said. We made the next three field goals, whatever it was. You just have to put it behind you and start a new streak.DOMINANT D-LINEThe Jets defensive line had a big day, and it gets a key player back against Buffalo when Sheldon Richardson returns from a one-game suspension.Richardson had to sit out as a result of his 2015 arrest after driving at high speeds in Missouri, which violated the leagues personal conduct policy. The Jets pass rush was OK without him, though, notching the teams most sacks since getting eight against Buffalo in 2013.---AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP-NFLThomas Bryant Jersey . The season isnt even a month old and already it seems we may have seen the full range of fantasy value for Klay Thompson and Bradley Beal. Both of the shooting guards have overcome ice cold starts to put up huge numbers over the past week, moving up this weeks rankings. At his worst just a few weeks ago, Thompson looked like an afterthought in the Golden State Warriors offense, camping out in the corner while Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green handled the ball the majority of the time. When the ball finally came to him, his jumper was as off as weve ever seen it in the pros. That all changed on Nov. 7, when Thompson shot 11-for-20 from the field and finished with 24 points in a win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Since that game, he has made at least three 3-pointers in seven straight games and scored at least 20 points in five of those. More importantly, that golden jumper is back, and Thompson has shot more than 50 percent from the field in all but one game since beating the Pelicans.Thompson jumps from No. 36 to 23 in the rankings. Then theres Beal, the Washington Wizards guard, who I cut in my home league last week while Beal was out of the lineup nursing another injury. Time will tell if the oft-injured 2-guard can stay on the court, but you have to give him credit for the way he has played since returning. Beal eased his way back with 18 points in 29 minutes against the New York Knicks on Thursday before going for 34 points against the Miami Heat and setting a career-high on Monday with 42 points against the Phoenix Suns. Also encouraging is the fact that he was able to log 40 minutes in each game. On top of that, Beal connected on 9-21 3s in those last two games, and anytime Beal shoots like that and shows such aggressiveness on the offensive end he becomes a much more valuable fantasy player.Listed all the way down at No. 89 while out of the lineup last week, Beal makes the jump up to 65, between Jabari Parker and Harrison Barnes.Another notable to rise in this weeks standings is C.J. McCollum (20), who was too low at 29 last week and continues to scorch the nets from long range. Weve made the proper adjustment. McCollum is shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 45.9 percent from 3-point land this season, which makes him all the more valuable at a position like shooting guard in which efficiency is often hard to find.ddddddddddddAl Horford returned from an extended absence following a concussion he suffered in practice and averaged 19 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1.5 steals and 3 blocks in his first two games. He averaged 35 minutes in those games, and both came against defensive-minded coaches (Tom Thibodeau and Stan Van Gundy), which is also encouraging. Horford moves up 10 spots from No. 43 to 33.Jrue Holiday also looked strong in his first few games of the season, warranting a climb from No. 76 to 56. The Pelicans veteran point guard averaged 21.5 points and 8 assists in only 26.5 minutes per game against Portland and Charlotte. Its safe to say hes already back to his normal value after missing all of training camp and the first three weeks of the season to tend to his wife following her brain surgery. On the other side, Denver big men Nikola Jokic (from No. 79 to 117) and Jusuf Nurkic (from No. 55 to 94) represent two of the biggest fallers this week. Both young Nuggets have loads of talent, but as long as they are playing only 22 minutes a night, neither is going to make a consistent fantasy impact. Just make sure you realize that if you drop or trade them now, youre selling low.Nerlens Noel (141) is still a few weeks away from returning to the court and even when he does, hell have to battle for minutes with Dario Saric, Ersan Ilyasova and eventually Ben Simmons. He isnt the same fantasy player on this seasons team as he was in previous years, and might strictly be a streamer.J.J. Barea falls out of the Top 150 following the news that hell be sidelined up to six weeks due to a calf injury. If you have an IR spot, hes worth stashing, but otherwise hes not worth waiting around for if it means sacrificing a roster spot for a month and a half.Lastly, theres Chandler Parsons, who hasnt played well in the six games he has appeared in this season (21 MPG, 7.7 PPG, 3 RPG, 39.1 FG%) and now will miss the next two weeks after being diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left knee. He falls all the way to No. 134 this week. Here is the full rundown of the rest of the updated Top 150: ' ' '
