The Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open will enjoy record prize money next summer after the LPGA Tour agreed to co-sanction the tournament. The Ladies European Tour negotiated the ground-breaking three-year deal with their LPGA counterparts, with Dundonald Links on the Ayrshire coast hosting both the mens and ladies Scottish Opens next season. Isabelle Boineau will be the defending champion in July The ladies event will now be part of the LPGA Tour schedule for the first time, and it will be played from July 27-30 - the week before the Ricoh Womens British Open at Kingsbarns, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports for the first time in 2017. The prize fund of US$1.5m will be the highest on the LET outside of the majors, and the tournament will be switched to a standard 72-hole strokeplay event from a pro-am format.
